Meaning even though the filler can last up to 18 months, it does break down naturally over time, meaning in order to maintain the shape created you would need to 'top up' the area when you feel the filler is breaking down. The other advantage to HA dermal fillers is if you decide you do not like your results the product can also be dissolved.
